BOETTCHER CULTURAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

In 2006, the Boettcher Foundation launched the Boettcher Cultural Leadership Program, a three-year statewide leadership development program for Colorado's arts and cultural sector. This program has been created in collaboration with National Arts Strategies, the nation's premier provider of executive education for the arts and culture sector.

The Boettcher Cultural Leadership Program builds on the Foundation's longstanding commitment to the arts and cultural sector and its history of promoting leadership in Colorado. The program is designed to create a community of cultural leaders equipped with the knowledge and skills to respond to an ever-changing environment and build lasting institutions. The Program consists of a curriculum of leadership education, in the form of semi-annual seminars, and additional assistance to apply new concepts to the challenges each organization faces.

In 2008, the second three-year cohort was selected and includes the following organizations: Clyfford Still Museum, Colorado Historical Society, Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, Denver Art Museum, Denver Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver Zoo, Opera Colorado, The Children's Museum of Denver, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Discovery Science Center in Fort Collins, Fort Collins Museum, Swallow Hill Music Association and Western Colorado Center for the Arts.
